About Safari
We design and build touring and off-road caravans at our own factory in Campbellfield, Victoria. Family owned and operated since 2010.

A family business, built on 30 years in the industry
Our founder started Safari after 30 years working in the caravan industry. Over that time he saw a gap in the market for a genuinely well-built caravan, and in 2010 he set out to build one.
Today Safari is still family owned and operated from Campbellfield, Victoria. Every caravan is 100% Australian made and built, and every model can be customised to suit its owner.
We build six models in two families. The Delta, Legacy and Oasis are touring caravans for sealed roads and parks. The Tuff Roader, Tuff Roader-X and X-Trak are off-road caravans for gravel, corrugations and remote tracks.
Each one is built at the Campbellfield factory, and each one can be changed to suit the people who will travel in it. More than 7,000 Safari caravans have been sold across Australia.

What goes into every Safari

Choose a proven timber frame or a light aluminium one that won’t corrode. Both are built to the same structural standard.

An ARV chassis, precision-welded in pre-galvanised 450 grade Australian steel, with a reinforced A-frame and off-road suspension options for when the bitumen runs out.

A one-piece waterproof honeycomb floor that takes years of loading, unloading and rough roads without flexing.

One sheet of fibreglass with no joins or seams. That removes the place cheaper vans most often leak from.

Layered aluminium composite panels with marine-grade 0.30mm skins, finished in a PPG FEVE coating made to stand up to hard Australian sun.

Two fibreglass (GRP) skins, inside and out, bonded to a rigid XPS foam core. The panel weighs less than a standard wall and holds its shape better, and the foam keeps the cabin cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
